Bollywood & Bhangra class combines traditional Indian folk and classical
dance with Bhangra, a folk dance from the Punjab region of India which has
gained popularity for its invigorating music (the dhol drum). Bollywood dance includes many
forms of movement and dance such as hip hop, jazz, Latin and Middle-eastern dance. You
will learn technique and choreography that incorporate rhythmic, full body
movement. With music that will keep you energized, engaged and excited,
this high energy, non-stop cardio and strength building dance class
is designed to help you tone and build endurance. Class is suitable for all levels, no dance
From R&B and House to Club and Pop, Hip Hop classes utilize upbeat music from various genres,
in addition to the latest Hip Hop hits. The resulting outcome is an energetic class that not only
teaches you Hip Hop movements and technique, but also instills rhythm and precision in your
muscle memory. This class is suitable for all levels.
Soca/Chutney is a crossover style of music incorporating Soca elements and Hindi-English lyrics.
A form indigenous to the Southern Caribbean, popular in Guyana, Trinidad, and Suriname. It is also
a mix of Bollywood and Dancehall carnival steps. This class is full of high energy, with upbeat music.

Salsa is a Latin dance which mixes African and European dance influences through the music and dance
fusions that are the roots of Salsa: Son, Guaguancó, Rumba, Boogaloo, Pachanga, Guaracha, Plena,
Bomba. Salsa is normally a lead & follow (freestyle) partner dance. The beginner class is for all levels,
designed to teach proper lead, connection, follow, timing, and footwork.
Bachata is a Latin dance form which originated in the Dominican Republic. Both Modern Bachata and
Traditional Bachata are becoming increasingly popular all over the world. Modern Bachata
fuses common turn patternsas seen in Salsa with the Basic Bachata steps. Traditional Bachata
incorporates more footwork and circular movement across the dance floor. The beginner class is for all levels,
designed to teach proper lead,connection, follow, timing, and footwork.
Belly dance can be described as "solo, improvised dances based on torso articulation". Belly
dance originated in the Middle East and India. The dance often focuses upon isolating different parts
of the body, moving them independently in sensuous patterns, weaving together the entire feminine
form. Belly dancing is generally performed barefoot, thought by many to emphasize the intimate
physical connection between the dancer, her expression, and Mother Earth. Belly dance takes many
different forms depending on the country and region, both in costume and dance style, and new styles
have evolved in the West as its popularity has spread globally. The Beginner Belly Dance class will focus
on learning the proper technique for this exotic style of dance, including body movement and isolations.
